Property Description

Bonaire is 30 miles from Curacao, 50 miles north of Venezuela, South America, and 86 miles east of Aruba, outside the hurricane belt. The smallest of the “ABC” Islands, the population is just 14,000

Accommodations are 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom oceanfront Alegro apartments, located just south of Kralendijk, in the upper class area of Belnem. Alegro offers 4 spacious apartments with elegance and luxury, and all the charm and convenience you could want in a vacation retreat. Each property offers breath – taking views over the tranquil, clear turquoise sea to Kralendijk, Klein Bonaire, and north to Washington Slagbaai National Park. Majestic cruise ships dock nearby at the port of Kralendijk, dolphins arch out of the ocean, and pelicans plunge from the sky. Only steps from your apartment is the easy access ocean, and the surrounding tropical garden has a Jacuzzi for ultimate relaxation.

Small as it is, there is a wealth of activity available. Bonaire consistently ranks as one of the finest snorkeling and scuba diving destination in the Caribbean, and also offers world-class windsurfing and kiteboarding. Other activities include Discover Bonaire tours, Washington National Park, water taxis, land sailing, mangrove kayaking, night snorkelling, sunset cruising and trimaran sailing.

The beauty of its semi-desert landscape is home to an outlandish assortment of wildlife. Iguanas meditatively toast themselves atop the desert rock formations of Washington Slagbaai, Bonaire’s land-based natural park, while vast orange-pink clouds of flamingos drift across bone-white salt flats. Divi-divi trees bend into surreal sculptures of the wind itself, and towering cacti stand as reminders of the Caribbean’s diverse ecology.

Property Review

  • "Awesome getaway"
Bonaire is great island to get away from it all. It is definitely the home of diving freedom - but much more than that. The island itself is far from a tropical island which makes it so special and interesting - with a variety of things to see and do - or just relax. The people on Bonaire are very friendly and welcoming.
