Paris is synonymous with all that is French. Known throughout the world as the “City of Light,” Paris is celebrated for its beautiful city plan, its architecture, museums, bridges, cathedrals, parks, shopping, flea markets, sidewalk cafés, wide and luxurious boulevards, elegant cuisine, and numerous monuments. Not to mention the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Banks of the Seine. From the Louvre to the Eiffel Tower, from the Place de la Concorde to the Grand and Petit Palais, the evolution of Paris and its history can be seen from the River Seine. The Cathedral of Notre-Dame and the Sainte Chapelle are architectural masterpieces while Haussmann’s wide squares and boulevards influenced late 19th- and 20th-century town planning the world over. Once confined to an island in the middle of the Seine River, the Ile de la Cité, Paris, founded more than 2,000 years ago, quickly spread to both banks of the river—the rive droit (right bank) and the rive gauche (left bank). The right bank is known for being the commercial heart of the city while the left bank is home to the University of Paris and all that is intellectual and artsy. Paris has always been known to have the aura of romance and mystery and has been the setting for many novels and movies. A character in a play by Oscar Wilde said, “When good Americans die, they go to Paris.”

A trip to Paris is the perfect get-away. One weekend or a couple of days in Paris will be enough to make you feel one with the city and forget about the daily routine back home. Wander around, experience the arty culture, shop until you drop, visit the highlights, just relax in a city park and enjoy the stunning view from the Eiffel tower. Sleeping in Paris doesn’t have to be expensive; Paris has a city-campsite and lots of hostels. But if your budget allows it and when you are looking for more luxury, there are also plenty of fancy hotels in Paris.

Property Review

  • "Magical"
Arrived at Notre Dame Cathedral a few minutes before mass was about to start, to say it was magical would be an understatement. The atmosphere was electrical but you could hear a pin drop. The architecture is second to none.

  • "Breathtaking Views - Eiffel Tower"
It is a wonderful piece of monument and lot of history to it. It’s maintained so well. It’s even more nice during the night when the lights are on. You can go upto the second or top level, views are amazing at second level. There is a lift which takes you to the second level and you change to another lift to go to top. It takes about few minutes to reach the second level.
